Kier's presence across north-west and Staffordshire confirmed by reinforcement of new contracts


The leading repairs and maintenance provider, Kier,confirmed its participation in a £32m framework agreement and a new contract valued up to £300,000 per year, reinforcing its presence across the north-west and Staffordshire.

Kier has been named on the Fusion21 planned maintenance framework over the next four years covering social housing Registered Providers across the country. Fusion21 is a social enterprise that promotes public procurement as a means to save money and create social outcomes through co-ordinated buying of supplies and contractor services.

Work on the framework commenced in April 2012 and will include the fitting of new central heating systems, kitchens, bathrooms, windows and doors to all homes covered within the framework.

Kier has also been confirmed to carry out refurbishment to Empowering People Inspiring Communities (EPIC) Housing’s void properties across Stoke-on-Trent in preparation for incoming tenants. Work scope and scale ranges from a full kitchen or bathroom replacement to minor repairs. The value of the contract is up to £300,000 per year and runs for an initial two years with an option to extend for an additional two.
