Expansion into Traffic Management and Vehicle Restraint Systems by JPCS

With the appointment of two new managers, JPCS, NATIONAL construction and engineering services contractor, has expanded its highways maintenance services into Traffic Management and Vehicle Restraint System (TM/VRS).

Dave Hughes joins as national operations manager and Jason Yates as contracts manager. Together they have more than 38 years’ experience in traffic management and VRS and both join the firm from Enterprise. Managing director of JPCS, Peter Shone, commented: “Dave and Jason bring a wealth of experience to the new unit and have specialised knowledge of working in both the public and private sectors with organisations such as local authorities, the Highways Agency and contractors.

“Dave and Jason have been tasked with managing the growth of the VRS and TM department and investigating new opportunities within the sector. The new department adds to our wide range of highways services and more than 20 years in the industry.”
A testament to high standards in quality of service, JPCS’ traffic management and VRS unit was recently awarded ISO 9001accreditation from the national highways sector schemes (NHSS) for the supply and erection of vehicle restraint systems (2b) and for traffic management (12a, 12b and 12d). These new accreditations complement company’s existing track record, including Investors in People, first achieved back in 1996.

JPCS works with a number of local authority and contractor clients for VRS nationwide, including Stoke City Council, Telford and Wrekin Services, Vale of Glamorgan Council, Staffordshire Highways, and Newport City Council, as well as delivering traffic management services to Amey plc. The company supplies integrated TM/VRS services to Shropshire County Council and Balfour Beatty, as well as being a pre-approved TM/VRS and civils contractor for Enterprise plc contracts.

The Road Surface Treatments Association (RSTA) recently awarded JPCS its Behavioural Safety Award for the outstanding health and safety levels the company has achieved and the innovative culture it has developed. JPCS is a nationwide contractor, delivering safe and sustainable civil engineering and maintenance services to the public and private sectors, across the highways, rail and energy markets. The company maintains the highways and byways of the UK and has a growing reputation for the robustness of its service, its use of environmentally friendly products from recycled sources and its product innovation.
