A new solar mounting system for UK roofs to be presented at Ecobuild

An innovative new PV solar mounting system that has been specially designed to be compatible with UK roof tiles is being introduced at this year’s Ecobuild exhibition, which is taking place at the ExCel Centre in London on 20-22nd March.

The REDtiP solar mounting system is being launched by Stainless Threaded Fasteners (STF), one of Europe’s leading distributors of stainless steel and brass fasteners, and offers a range of four stainless steel roof hooks that have been designed in the UK to fit UK roofs.

STF Director and General Manager, David Jackson, explains: “Imported roof hooks are designed for foreign roofs so often installers have to spend valuable time modifying tiles or slate to get the hooks to fit. The REDtiP system uses innovative new hooks that fit the dimensions of UK interlocking roof tiles, reducing the need for on-roof adaptations and costly soakers and flashings. This aids faster, easier installation; saving time and therefore money. It also means a more secure and weatherproof finish.”

“Visitors to Ecobuild will be able to get up close and see how the system works and the REDtiP team of experts will be on hand to provide live demonstrations and offer advice for specific projects and applications.”
