Flatiron Promotes Paul Newman to VP of Business Development

FIRESTONE, Colo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Flatiron, one of the nation's largest transportation and infrastructure contractors, has promoted Paul Newman to vice president of business development.


Mr. Newman has more than 30 years of construction experience, 23 of those managing heavy civil transportation projects. He most recently served as Flatiron’s Heavy Civil Division manager of business development, procuring large design-build projects, mainly in the eastern U.S. Before that he was the project manager on two award-winning design-build highway projects in the Carolinas – the Washington Bypass and the Knightdale Bypass, both in North Carolina. Prior to joining Flatiron in 2003, Mr. Newman was a project manager on the DeMatteo/Flatiron joint venture I-90/Logan Airport Interchange (part of the Big Dig) in Boston, Mass., for M. DeMatteo Construction Company.
