Smucker Boosts Prices Of Most US Coffee Products

Coffee drinkers will get another jolt at the supermarket: the company that sells Folgers and Dunkin' Donuts brand coffees has announced its second double-digit price increase this year.
J.M. Smucker Co. said Tuesday the list price for most of its U.S. coffee products will go up 11 percent, on average, because costs keep rising for unroasted beans.
The increase also includes Smucker's Millstone and Folgers Gourmet Selections packaged coffees.
It's the latest in a series of coffee price hikes announced by Smucker because of higher coffee costs.
The Orrville, Ohio, company said in early Februrary it was raising coffee prices by an average 10 percent. Last August, it announced a 9 percent price hike, which followed a 4 percent increase in May 2010.
The Dunkin' Donuts brand is licensed to Smucker for packaged coffee sold only in retail channels.
