CADsoft Consulting to Sell Autodesk Ecotect Analysis

TEMPE, AZ, Jul 8, 2009 - CADsoft Consulting is pleased to announce their selection as an Autodesk Authorized Value-Added Reseller (VAR) of Autodesk Ecotect Analysis 2010 software and its companion web-based service, Autodesk Green Building Studio. Autodesk Ecotect Analysis 2010 software is a comprehensive concept-to-detail sustainable design analysis tool, providing a wide range of simulation and analysis functionality through desktop and web-service platforms.

“CADsoft was awarded this distinct honor after careful review of our Application Engineers’ professional experience with BIM and architectural and engineering design proficiencies. The addition of Ecotect Analysis to our portfolio of design solutions will make it easier for architects, engineers and designers to understand the impact of their design decisions on building performance much earlier in the design process so they can reduce the environmental impact while lowering project cost and achieving faster time-to-market. Patrick Villella’s recent certification as a LEED AP (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design – Accredited Professional) shows our commitment and support of the industry’s sustainable design effort,” said Tim Duncan, CADsoft President/CEO.

Autodesk Ecotect Analysis supports and extends the value of a host of other building information modeling (BIM)-focused software including Autodesk Revit Architecture and Autodesk Revit MEP. Autodesk Ecotect Analysis also provides a wide range of simulation and analysis functions and interacts with powerful 3D feedback to explore factors such as solar, shadows and reflections, and day-lighting.

Autodesk Ecotect Analysis’s companion software, Autodesk Green Building Studio, is a power-packed web-based service that lets users quickly evaluate multiple design alternatives for whole-building water and energy efficiency and carbon neutrality. Autodesk Green Building Studio converges with desktop tools to simulate the performance of a building model and to visualize results within the context of the building’s environment at an unprecedented speed.
