Latest Wins Via The North West Construction Hub Chalked Up By ISG
ISG has won a raft of new primary school projects across Cheshire and Manchester with a total value of more than £6.5 million, all as part of the influential North West Construction Hub Framework.
A number of these projects for Cheshire West and Chester Council focus on upgrading learning facilities, with ISG tasked with replacing pre-fabricated temporary accommodation and building new permanent classroom structures at schools including JH Godwin Primary School, Greenbank Primary School and Lostock Gralam Primary School. The projects also include internal refurbishment works and external improvements to resurface car park and playground areas.
Projects at Byley Primary School and Aston by Sutton Primary School see ISG construct extensions to provide a new multi-use hall and a full refurbishment of existing kitchen facilities. ISG is delivering the school projects on a rolling programme, however the contractor can be operating across up to ten individual school sites at any one time. The majority of the schemes are due for completion during the summer holiday period, ahead of the start of the new academic year.
ISG’s Jim Parker, managing director - North West, commented: “The North West Construction Hub Framework has successfully simplified the procurement process for public sector construction projects in the region, delivering cost savings and ensuring consistently high standards of project delivery. The number of school extension and refurbishment schemes that ISG is carrying out for Cheshire West and Chester Council requires careful planning and logistical expertise, so our extensive experience of working within live school environments has been essential in ensuring continued successful outcomes.”
