Firms to £100m framework appointed by Home Group

ONE of the UK’s leading social housing providers has appointed a group of companies to help it build in excess of £100m of homes.

Home Group has selected 10 construction companies to help it deliver more than 1,100 homes during the next four years.

The companies have been appointed to Home Group’s southern region development contractors’ framework which covers developments in London the East and South East, the South West and the Midlands.

Ian Tallentire, Home Group’s director of development, said: “Home Group has selected 10 companies which we believe will be able to help us deliver much needed social housing homes in the south of the UK.

“Each of the companies impressed us with their submissions and we are looking forward to working with them.”

Being appointed to the framework means that each company will now be able to bid for work constructing new build properties and refurbish general needs and supported housing projects.

The 10 companies are: Drew Smith Group, EG Carter & Co Ltd, Galliford Try, ISG Jackson Ltd, Keepmoat Ltd, Lakehouse Contracts Ltd, Mulalley & Company Ltd, Rydon Construction, T & A Kernoghan Ltd and Willmott Dixon Housing Ltd.

More than 90 companies made initial expressions of interest before the final 10 were selected.
